So I decided to try my hand at a sketch blog!

I definitely do not draw as much as I should, so hopefully this will motivate me a little to do so :)
My goal is to post something every day, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep that up… but I shall try!

I also added a small widget on the sidebar that shows the most recent sketches so that you guys can quickly and easliy see what I’ve uploaded :D

Recently I’ve been tinkering and getting comfortable with using WordPress, so I thought maybe it was time to transfer over. This way, I have a bit more freedom and flexibility with things like the layout.

I can make the thumbnails of the images a lot bigger now!!

Anyways.

Recently I got myself a webcam to start doing some live streaming and time lapse videos of myself working. The quality isn’t superb, but hopefully it’s interesting enough.

Today I’ll be finally starting a live stream of myself working on a final illustration.
It’s about 9:30 EST right now, and I’ll possibly be on until midnight EST (or more!)

The schedule on how much I’ll be on the air is pretty random, but I may announce it like what I’m doing now.

I’ll be working on some flower illustrations that will be eventually be up for sale in my store.

It’s been a while since I did anything with panels in it.
I hope they call me back for another one soon!

Aaaand I’m back with some new stuff. It’s mostly crafty things.

I made these 3D magnets in the shape of mushrooms! The tops are made from needle felting undyed wool, and the stems have a core of polymer clay and wrapped with canvas.
You can buy some at my Etsy store if you’re interested!

Needle felting is something I just recently started. It’s where you take a barbed needle and stab wool many many times until it starts to felt due to the wool inside tangling up.

And these are some of the other things I’ve been doing.
To the left was my first needle felting attempt, and to the right is a keychain that I put together for a friend in Germany : )

Hello! It’s already been about a month since I last posted, which is bad of me.
But I come with some news!

The people at Small Magazine has recently featured me in their Winter issue!! Please go check it out, they have a lot of great features of small things! My images start from the 90th page, or just click here : )

Also, I did a small illustration for the blog Toronto Craft Alert! It seems like it hasn’t gone up yet, so I’ll post a shot of it once it does. TCA is awesome for anyone in Toronto that’s looking for some local crafty stores and artists.

And finally, this is just a quick preview of the 3 illustrations in the Power in Numbers show. It starts next week (Dec. 12), so please check it out if you’re in the area!

Right now, I’m itching to try polymer clay for 3D sculptures and needle felting!

And yet another thing!
I’ve put up a section called “Personal” on my website.
I decided to have it as a place to put illustrations that I wanted separate from my other works.
