baker’s dozen

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

I have been invited to be in a group exhibition at the Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra California with a handful of other talented artists.

Baker’s Dozen opens this Saturday (June 11) and goes all the way to July 4th.
So if you’re in the area, please have a look-see!

The exhibit is all about idioms!
I will have 3 new images up in the show, which I will post on this blog this Saturday to coincide with the show opening.

This is the second time my work will be on display at Nucleus, the first being the Power in Numbers 4 exhibit back in December 2009. (Seriously, has it been that long?!)

The good people at Nucleus have also posted a feature about me on their blog, and a more detailed one will hopefully come soon after :)

Teeny Tiny cont + website

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Firstly, I tweaked my main site.

Not much has changed look-wise except for the header and how the gallery looks (and a few other things here and there). The underlying coding is what mostly changed, so updating the site will (hopefully) be a lot easier from now on.

Now going on to more interesting things… namely the Teeny Tiny Art Show.
You can now browse the other pieces that are going to be in the show at the Three Graces Gallery’s Flickr set.
It definitely looks like an awesome mix of artists, all with different styles!

And here are the rest of the pieces that I made for the show:

Snake marks

Mouse and cheese

Origami frog prince

Freedom birds

Yaaaay

Teeny Tiny

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Firstly, apologizes for the very, very, very long absence.

I’ve been working on 6 new illustrations that will appear in the Teeny Tiny Art Show at the Three Graces Gallery in Portsmouth, NH!
The show opens on September 3rd, and goes until September 26th.

I’ve finished all of them, but for now here’s a sneak peek at two of the pieces that will be showing!

You’ve all seen this one before. It’s a lengthened version of “Fish Forest
I just liked it so much that I had to make it again!

And this one is probably one of my favourites in all the ones I made for this show. It’s a bit sad to be letting it go, really.
Actually, it’s a bit sad to let any of them go! I get pretty easily attached to my originals.

In all my pieces for this show, I focused on the subject of animals. The other animals I illustrated are birds, frogs, snakes and mice. Each one measures about 5″ x 4″.

I’ll post the rest up when the opening date gets closer!

PIN 4 Show – The lucky clover

Saturday, November 7th, 2009
5″ x 7″
The Lucky Clover

This piece will actually be one of the illustrations for the Power in Numbers 4 Show (PIN4) at Gallery Nucleus from December 12 – December 28!
It will be up for purchase for $100.

If you’re in the LA/Alhambra, California area please go and check it out once it starts : )
The image will be in exhibit for the entire duration of the show

I’ll probably be doing one or two more for the show : )

PIN4 exhibit and layout

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I subtly changed the title image of this blog! Rounded edges, yay!

Also on a more interesting note,
I’ll be participating in a group show at Gallery Nucleus this coming December for their Power in Numbers (PIN) show!
It’s not for a while, but I thought I should write about it :)
I don’t know what I’ll be doing for it yet, but it’ll be fun!
