travel

March 12th, 2013

From March 15th to April 1st, I’ll be away on a trip!

I’ll still be checking my email (though probably not as often as usual), if ever you need to get in touch!

I’ll see you all soon!

Conditions of the Heart

I’m in the March 2013 issue of Today’s Parent magazine!

Thank you always to the people at Today’s Parent whom I have the pleasure of working with many times!

What I’ve been up to (Part 2)

And here is Part 2! Illustration :)

What I’ve been up to (part 1)

March 2nd, 2013

Apologies for lack of updates! It’s been a while since my last post… but no worries, I have been working on things!

I thought I would show the things I’ve done in parts. This part is for line drawings.
I’m recently trying to practice with nib pens and inks. Though I’m still not completely comfortable with it, I’ve gotten a bit better! I’m also trying out digital tones after I scan the lineart in.

Take Flight

Reflection

So I did two more diorama illustrations!
I really like doing these, but I think my next image will be my usual flat illustration :)

Also, if you ever want to see some behind-the-scenes photos on my works, I usually post them on my Tumblr. But more specifically, you can go to my #wip tag and see them all in one spot!

The view from up here

Another diorama illustration I put together!

I’m still trying to get down exactly how I want to do things regarding these types of illustrations… But, getting a tripod was probably a step in the right direction. I have no idea why I didn’t have one before this!

Daily Sketching

Rottenmeier – “Alps no Shoujo Heidi”
(“Girl of the Alps, Heidi”)

Recently I have been experimenting with brush pen and graphite, as seen above.
It’s great to try something so different than what I usually do. I hope to continue to test things out!

keeping warm: diorama-illustration

December 23rd, 2012

Happy Holidays!!

I can’t believe that it’s this time of the year already. It feels like only yesterday that 2012 started.

I hope you enjoy this new kind of illustration! I plan on doing more of these in the coming new year.
Looking back, I always loved doing dioramas for school projects, so this is an awesome way to relive my childhood joy while still working.
